The Town of Westmoreland has purchased this property to develop into a Town Park. Ball fields, hiking trails, basketball and tennis courts are planned for the future. Water has been supplied to the Park and during the spring of 2002, a rest room and storage building were constructed near the ball fields. The Town Board has had a septic system installed and a pond was developed in the "back forty". The pond still needs cosmetic work and we are still under construction! A fence was installed in the fall of 2002. Goalposts and baseball back stops went up in the spring of 2003. Many of the youth sports were played at the Town Park during the summer of 2003, as the Westmoreland Central School was rehabilitating their ball fields.
The Town sponsored youth teams continue to play at the park. A playgroud was erected during the summer of 2006, near the Pavilion and new certified wood chips were added to the playground in the spring of 2012.
