The Town of Westmoreland, according to the 2000 Census, has a population of 6,207. The 2000 Census reports 3,164 males,3043 females. Our largest group is 1,143 aged 35 to 44 years. Our median age is 37.7.


Approximately 21% of our population is school age children, 6 years through 17 years.


Our senior population, (ages 65 and over) represent 12.2% of the total population.We have 65 residents who are 85 years of age or older. The 2004 estimated population of the Town was 6359.
